Leslie Manookian Presents the Idaho Medical Freedom Act - Feb 5, 2025 - Senate State Affairs Committee
Video - Leslie's Presentation and Standing for Questions
Idaho state senator Dan Foreman is sponsor of a bill called the Idaho Medical Freedom Act (S1023), to prohibit all medical mandates in Idaho. Senator Foreman and I collaborated on the bill which I presented on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in the Senate State Affairs Committee.
Our rationale is simple: no bureaucrat, employer, educational organization, or politician – no one – has the right or authority to dictate what is best for you, your body, your health, or your future in order for you to lead a normal life. You alone must have the freedom to make those choices about your health and you alone must bear the consequences.
Please see the video of the hearing to watch Leslie present the bill and stand for questions. After that, there are public testimonies for and against the bill and the Senators closing remarks and their vote. They voted 7-2 in favor of moving to the 14th Order for amendment. The bill has been amended and moved out of the 14th Order to be heard next week and voted on by the full Senate.
Great job. Thank you for all you do.🙏🍀🙏🍀🙏👏👏
Excellent, Leslie! Not many people know about the change in the criteria for diagnoses; I was so thrilled you were able to present that information!! You were inspiring!
